Benedict’s Test is used to test for simple carbohydrates. The Benedict’s test identifies reducing sugars (monosaccharide’s and some disaccharides), which have free ketone or aldehyde functional groups. Benedict’s solution can be used to test for the presence of glucose in urine. A positive test with Benedict's reagent is shown by a colour change from clear blue to a brick-red precipitate.

The iodine test is used to test for the presence of starch. When treated with iodine solution—iodine dissolved in an aqueous solution of potassium iodide—the triiodide anion (I3) complexes with starch, producing an intense blue/black colour.

1.Ideally as test tubes 1,3, and 4 test positive for iodine solution hence these will show digested products in it. But test tube 1 is without any enzyme so practically there would be no digested product.Test tube 3 contains HCl and amylasE in saliva does not acts in acidic pH so there would be no digestion.Thus proper digestion take place in test tube 4.

2.Digestion did not occurred as iodine test is positive but benedict`s test is negative or we can say digestion dis occurred but reducing sugar such as glucose is not formed as benedict`s test is negative.
