Describe the relationship between the organ systems of the human body and the individual needs of each human cell to undergo cellular respiration (as depicted by the equation below). Use the terms below.
Describe the relationship between the organ systems of the human body and the individual needs of each human cell to undergo cellular respiration (as depicted by the equation 6 H20 Water Energy C,H120 6 0 6 CO ATP Glucose Oxygen Carbon dioxide circulatory system internal respiration urinary system absorption - bloodExplanation / Answer
Circulatory System: is an organ system in humans that allows blood to transport nutrients, oxygen, carbon dioxide, hormones to and from the cells in the body. Circulatory system is important in maintaining temperature and pH and an overall stable environment of the body. It is important for the exchange of gases (oxygen and carbondioxide) within and outside of human cells performing cellular respiration.
Internal respiration: is the exchange of gases between the blood and the cells of diifferent tissues in the human body. It occurs in the metabolizing tissues, where oxygen diffuses out of the blood and into the cell and carbon dioxide diffuses out of the cells and into the blood. In humans lungs take up oxygen and transport oxygen-rich blood throughout the body through circulatory system. While the carbon dioxide-rich blood from the body is transported back into the lungs.
Urinary system: Through urinary system the liquid waste from the blood is removed in the form of urine. The urinary system works in conjunction with circulatory system during celluar respiration and helps in keeping the stable balance of salts and other substances in the blood, and in maintaining the pH of the blood.
Absorption: In human body the absorption of nutrients, carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins and minerals from food takes place in small intestine. The absorption of these components of food in human body is essential for various metabolic functions in the body, most important of which is cellular respiration.
Blood: Bloodd has very important function to play in cellular respiration in human body. It delivers essential substances such as oxygen and nutrients to the cells and transports metabolic waste (resulting from cellular respiration) away from the cells.
