In what ways would these entertainment products be helpful or unhelpful for people from other countries trying to learn about U.S. culture?”

What, specifically, about U.S. culture does the program/movie showcase? Why would it be helpful or unhelpful for those from other countries who wish to learn about U.S. culture to learn about that particular aspect of U.S. culture?
Explanation / Answer
US culture perceives multicultural philosophy from African, Native American, Asian, Polynesian and Latin American people and traditions. Furthermore it also conceives its own social and cultural characteristics such as language, music, arts and social habits. Thus due to large-scale of migration from other countries it is in fact regarded as ethnically and racially diverse nation.
US television show Modern Family tries to explore the relationship between different individuals living in household. The story is about one extended family Mitchell and Cameron a gay couple their adopted Vietnamese daughter Phil and Claire, child Jay, second wife Gloria a Colombian emigrant and her son Manny from a previous marriage.
It focuses on how this family interrelates and communicates with each other rather than their relationships with the outside world. Furthermore the show also covers various other aspects which in fact facilitates to effectively understand modern US culture including technology and defining roles of mothers and fathers in modern-day society.
Parks and Recreation television show was in fact based on the aspiring career of Leslie Knope working in Parks Department of Pawnee a fictional town in Indiana. Thus by utilizing the background setting of Parks Department the show attempts to effectively tackle present day American issues such as advancement and empowerment of women in the workplace, political activism and anti-corporate sentiments but in a humorous way.
The Simpsons television show tried to effectively enumerate the American way of life. Simpson’s family lived in a town called Springfield where people share different beliefs, religions and nationalities. Thus it meant to represent US as a whole which indeed facilitated with varied opportunities to efficiently elucidate the characters in situations which in fact can help to reflect American culture. Furthermore the show covered issues pertaining to corporate greed, environmentalism, women’s rights and organized religion in a very humorous manner.
