Monarchy vs. Democracy

The democratic system is the system in which the governing body is elected by the people. The public opinion is collected in the form of votes in the election procedure. It is a way in which the public exercise their free will, whereas in monarchy, the entire organization system or the country is ruled by a single member or the member of the same family. There is no election system, people who once reach the seat of power tend to hold the position for a long duration of time.

The major difference in the monarchy and democracy is the power to choose their representative. In the democracy people have the right to choose their leader, whereas in monarchy, it is always the member of the single family. Other difference is in the duration for which the elected represented holds the position. In a democracy, the position is held by the elected representatives only for a fixed duration whereas a monarch stays in office as long as they desire. In a democracy, the law is equal for all the citizen whereas in monarchy, the rule is flexible and in the hands of the monarch.

The majority of leaders, presidents, and CEOs of the top American companies and essential non-profit are appointed. The appointment is done by the few chosen people that represent the thought process and the belief of the entire population.

What would happen if such process was democratized where the employees were given the responsibility of electing their own leaders?

The appointed representative may or may not truly represent the population and hence is the process of appointment of the majority of leaders, presidents, and CEOs are given to the employees, there will be absence of political influence in the pocess of choosing the leader. In this process, the people eho they think that they can work effectively with is chosen as the leader. There is ease in the working system and the employees are happy that they are considered as a part of major decision making process in the company. The democracy in electing the leader allows the organization to share the responsibility. It empowers each and every employee and provides them with an experience of being a group member and a team player.
