For this week’s discussion, complete the following questions below in detail. Please discuss thoroughly and substantively in your post.

1) Describe at least 5 steps in a process to collect digital evidence to the time you testify that you consider important. Please explain why they are important.

2) You are a witness and I am asking you the following question - please answer thoroughly as if you are testifying in court on the witness stand. “Upon entering the room where the computer was located, what was the first thing you did?”

3) Continue your testimony by answering – “After seizing the computer evidence, explain what you did with it?”

Explanation / Answer

1)

For eg. In a device say computer there are some Photos and a video which are proofs or evidence .so steps to collect them can be

* copy it to mobile or if you have pen drive .

* make a copy and store it to cloud say google drive (as a back up ).

* for extra security send it to other persons whom you trust

* clicking picture of that computer screen and room with computer .

*and if you dont know how to collect evidence just call computer forensic expert urgently .

2)

When i entered to room computer was located in straight direction of gate so as i entered my eyes got strucked on computer screen that was on .i ran towards computer on that video was playing in which whole murder was recorded . I copied it to my phone using a usb cable which was kept on computer table .

After seizing the computer evidence i copied it to my phone and copied it to google drive .because things kept at cloud on internet remains safe and send it to my persons whom i trust lot .so that in case i am caught by enemy they still can have evidence .
