I need a discussion response to my peers discussion post

    In my current position I get the honor of being a mentor for what we call emerging leaders in our company. Before being offered the position that I am currently in, I was an emerging leader and I had a mentor that helped me become successful in my current role. There are many rewards with the mentor-mentee relationship, from both positions. When being a mentor you are rewarded with having someone that looks up to you that you are able to guide and teach throughout their growing process. As stated by Blanchard & Thacker (2013), mentoring is considered a form of coaching in which is an ongoing relationship is developed between a senior and junior employee. This relationship keeps you interested in your work while being able to teach someone the reasons why you are in the position that you are in.

From the other side, being a mentee you have someone for guidance through what can be a challenging time in your growth. While learning something new it can make you feel many emotions from excitement to disappointment, having a mentor for guidance through these times can be very helpful in making you successful during these times. Mentoring is something that is primarily for career development, this not only benefits the employees involved but the company itself by gaining more valuable employees.

Mentoring is a mutual relationship between a senior employee and a junior employee in which former guides the later one so as to make him confident about self reliant at the workplace. It gives many emotional, social and interpersonal abilities to the new employees. They can take any responsibility in near future once they learn similar skill set from the senior people. We can see that in many case, an older organization might take the role of mentor institution so as to help the newer institution in making operational. Mentorship has many key benefits as it results in mutual trust, experience sharing, emotional bonding among people, more cable people can be make etc.

Mentorship is used for career development and progression of people from school life to professional life. In our family our parents are also our mentors. In our college life, professors make us capable so that we can take many challenges of our future life. In our social sphere, our neighbours, experienced people also guide us on time to time. So, directly or indirectly it helps us building our personality as well as decision making ability.
