Question: Napoleon Bonaparte remains one of the most controversial figures in modern history. Some see him as a child of the Enlightenment and champion of French Revolutionary idealism; to others he is a cruel dictator and a precursor to Hitler, Stalin and other twentieth century despots. In your opinion, which of these interpretations is accurate? In other words, was Napoleon a good man or an evil man? As always, be sure to support your argument with specific examples.

Answer: To me, Napoleon is both(Good and Bad) and I personally think that Napoleon was the right leader back at that time and he was the reason to bring stability and strength to economic system and made France the strongest military force and has also introduced modern governance. Napoleon was a hero for France because he created schools, roads and also won many battles. While Napoleon was a villain for the British. The British are the only people who argue Napoleon as an evil man. The lies spread by the British made Napoleon a complete bad person. I believe that Britain was the long enemy of Napoleon because they somehow want to stop the economic power that he was becoming.

NAPOLEON BONAPARTE was the first emperor of France and also one of the greatest military commanders in history. He ruled as Emperor between 1804-1815 and during the final days of the French revolution Napoleon rose to prominence. The arguments and debate even today about Napoleon clearly tells us about his legacy and importance in history.

In my opinion Napoleon is a SUPERSTAR for many reasons. He was a military genius and he won many battles which helped to extend France. His domestic policy was his greatest legacy to France. And these domestic policies were not only established for France alone and his policies civilized the entire world. Many people argue that Napoleon is a villain, but I really think he was not cruel like Hitler who slaughtered people. Napoleon also never enslaved or injured people purposely like Stalin in history. Also his heroic achievements like Council of state, bank of France, civil code and his administrative system were copied by many other countries. These are some of the reasons which I like most about Napoleon which made him a HERO.
