Explanation / Answer

Perhaps the concept hat would best explain why I miss some answers in Psychology gets are due to the absence of memory cues. When I study for my examinations, I tend to make sure that I correctly comprehend all concepts without necessarily engaging in rote memory. For example, it when I am asked to recall the details of a theory, I may fail to recollect its details or be able to correctly identify which one is being discussed. But if some type of hint is given, it helps me remember the concepts associated with the theory and I am able to recall information.

I have had plenty of instances wherein I have been unable to remember someone’s name. But this usually occurs due to encoding failure. It maybe that I am simply asking their names out of politeness but I am not interested in really getting to know them. It has also happened, especially with those who have unique names, that I have not been able to comprehend their names correctly in the first place.
