Experiments were done here to prove the old idea that GnRH was responsible for the reproductive behavioral actions was wrong and that indeed a GnRH metabolite was mediating the effects after it was metabolized to the GnRH (1-5) fragment.  What do you think WAS THE MOST COMPELLING experiment to prove this point and why was it the most compelling?  What was so convincing about it?

Explanation / Answer

The interesting experiment was the use of inhibitors against the metabolite GnRH. Inhibition if the metabolite repressed the behavioral action.

It was interesting because the metabolite had an effect directly not the hormone.
