Question

Both Parts need to be answered for full points. Please show your work and any equations you used. Thanks!

if you cant read the question I will retype the words here....

Part A

a 75-turn coil of diameter 13.0 cm is placed in a magnetic field, with the field perpendicular to the area spanned by the coil. the field initially has a magnitude of 0.450 T, and is shut iff uniformly to zero in 27.5 ms. Calculate the voltage induced in the coil.

Part B

If the coil above is made of copper wire of diameter 0.45 mm calculate the induced current

Explanation / Answer

we know the induced emf e = d/dt = *R^2*75*0.45*1000/27.5 = 16.289 V

now the total length of the copper wire = 75*2**R = 30.630 m

we know resistivity of copper = 1.68*10^-8

= > the resistanc eof the wire = 1.68*10^-8*30.360/*r^2 = 2.518 Ohm

=> the current in the wire i = 16.289/2.518 = 6.467 A
