Explanation / Answer

Part A

Using Work-energy theorem:

W = dKE

W = 0.5*m*Vf^2 - 0.5*m*Vi^2

Vi = 0 m/sec

Vf = sqrt (2*W/m)

Now Power in circuit will be

P = W/t Also

P = dV*i

dV*i = W/t

W = dV*i*t

Vf = sqrt (2*dV*i*t/m)

Part B

Using ohm's law:

V = i*R

R = 14/0.11 = 127.27 ohm

Part C

at t = 10 sec

W = 14*0.11*10 = 15.4 J

So

Vf = sqrt (2*15.4/0.57)

Vf = 7.35 m/sec
