charge , q = 20.9 uC

electric force = 42.4 uN due east

as electric force = q * electric field

42.4 uN due east = 2.09 uC * electric field

electric field = 2.03 N/C due east

the electic field is 2.03 N/C in the east direction

b)

electric force = 29.8 uN due west

as electric force = q * electric field

29.8 uN due west = -10.8 * electric field

electric field = 2.76 N/C in east direction
