Explanation / Answer

here,

mass of the each plane , m = 87 kg

force applied , F = 75 N

d = 1.2 m

a)

the rotational inertia of the door , I = 4 * m * d^2 /3

I = 4 * 87 * 1.2^2 /3

I = 167.04 kg.m^2

b)

let the door's angular accelration be alpha

I * alpha = F * d

167.04 * alpha = 75 * 1.2

alpha = 0.54 rad/s^2

c)

theta = pi

let the time be t

theta = w0 * t + 0.5 * alpha * t^2

pi = 0 + 0.5 * 0.54 * t^2

t = 3.41 s

the time taken is 3.41 s
