Question
Figure 1 shows a head-on view of three current carrying wires, assume that these wires are very long. Each wire will experience a force due to the magnetic field created by the current through the other two wires. Assume that the positive x direction point to the right, and the positive y direction points up (which means that the positive z direction will be out of the page).
a. Determine the magnetic field due do each wire at the position of the other two wires.
b. Determine the net magnetic field at the position of each wire.
c. Determine the net force exerted on a 1.0 cm length of each of the three wires.

1. we know that for long lenth of wire the magnetic field B = u0i/2*3.14*r
on the 5A conductor
by 20A B1=4*10-7*20/2*10
=4*10-7
by 10A B2=4*10-7*10/2*10
=2*10-7
so total magnetic field B= 6*10-7 T Ans
similarly on the 10A B = 4*10-7*20/2*10 + 4*10-7*5/2*10
= 5*10-7 T Ans
similarly on the 20A B = 4*10-7*10/2*10 + 4*10-7*5/2*10
= 3*10-7 T Ans
2.so the net megnetic field = 14*10-7 T Ans
3. here by the 5A B1=4*10-7*5/2*1 =1*10-7 T
by the 10A B2=4*10-7*10/2*1 =20*10-7 T
by the 20A B3=4*10-7*20/2*1 = 40*10-7 T
so total magnetic field B= 61*10-7 T Ans
