Question
what do you think will happen to the plants if carbon dioxide conditions changed
Explanation / Answer
Changed how? If all the CO2 in the air was suddenly gone, they would die, as the Carbon in CO2 in the air is where they get the C for photosynthesis, the only way they grow. 6CO2 + 6H2O => C6H12O6 + 6O2. If the CO2 in the air was dramatically increased, there would be no marked increase in plant growth, because CO2 is not one of the "limiting factors" (such as nitrogen, phosphorus, water, sunlight, heat, etc) of growth. If many more plants were planted at/before the time of CO2 increase, there could potentially be more CO2 converted into plain O2, but in reality, most of the CO2 => O2 conversions in the world are done by blue-green algae in the oceans, not by terrestrial plants.
