1a) The characteristic band of alcohols is the O-H str that occurs at around 3200-3300 as abroad peak which is not present in the ketone.

1b) The characteristic peak of ketone carbonyl is a shapr band at 1714 which is absent in the alcohol specturm

1c) Once can identify the presence of some unreacted/unreduced ketone from Ir spectrum as a band present at 1714 in addition to the broad peak at 3300.
