Ethical behavior is needed in every profession, business and industry. Ethics sets the code of conduct for the employees in an organization. Employees encounter many situations in their work place where he has to act ethically and morally. In the presence of ethical guidelines, there is less scope for unethical behavior. In the given situation the offer made by Steve amounts to bribery and material gifts for his personal gain which is unethical. Alan having the authority and responsibility of his position should not accept to Steve's offer as accepting it would be like doing favoritism to him which is violating the ethical principle of virtue in ethics such as being dishonest to his position. Alan should follow' the procedure and rules in granting sanction to Steve's vendor ship. It poses an ethical dilemma of violating utilitarian principle of accepting things that are of poor and substandard quality. Therefore Alan should not accept the offer because it poses ethical dilemmas in terms of violating the principles of virtue and utilitarian.?

Ans - In above stated situation Alan did the good job and that is totally ethical. As Steve try to give hin bribe as well as poor quality of product both the things is unethical and unacceptable hence Allan response is correct he should not support Steve and his wrong activities.
