Explanation / Answer
1: Dilemma refers to a situation where the person is confused as to which decision would be a better decision to opt for. He uses his critical thinking and decision making ability to end the dilemma and go for a choice.
I was in a dilemma when a manager got personal with me. It was because he did not like that I was quite popular among office people. He called me personally and blasted for no reasons.
2: I instead of saying sorry which I felt would be injustice to my conscience, ended up arguing with him and later on I was told to resign which I did. I followed my conscience than and did what felt right to me.
3. It was my dilemma as I knew that it depend on me to say sorry and escape or fight for the right cause. Also I had this in my mind that after all my purpose here is to work and I knew the top management would not listen to me.
4. I picked option to quit after I was told to resign and it was very clear that this was done at the instructions or influence of my manager although my productivity and commitment towards company have been always high.
5. The results were that I was appreciated by my true friends but I lost my job as result of arguing with my manager.
6. Professionally it was not a right choice, as one is required to follow their mangers and focus only on works and just say yes to what mangers say. However, I followed my conscience than the norm in the company and as a result I was out. NO, I don’t regret of my decisions.
7. If I were to be a good professional ethics I would have taken this issue to senior management and the conflict might have been solved by human resource management or some other team but I decided to go on my own which is not better idea. I should have atleast brought this incident to the HR of the company.
