Reflecting on the five aspects of team composition in Figure 11-4, which do you think were contributing factors to the success or failure of your team experience? Was one aspect the predominant factor or were there multiple contributing aspects? And finally, if you were responsible for assembling a work team for a long term project how would you approach and define each of these five aspects for your new team? Answer - The team i was member of was highly dysfunctional and unsuccessful
which do you think were contributing factors to the success or failure of your team experience?
Answer -- contributing factors for failure of our team expereince were
Was one aspect the predominant factor or were there multiple contributing aspects?
there was on major aspect predominant which led to constant dysfucntional working of team ,that was lack of trust among the team members
And finally, if you were responsible for assembling a work team for a long term project how would you approach and define each of these five aspects for your new team?
My approach in assembling a lon term project team would be
Member roles - plan a complete detailed role for each member , holding every minute detail about their respective role , autonomy it holds and roles and responsibilities
-Member ability - Identify and hire members with a proper selection methods ,the members will be screened for their collaborative atititude, expereince in working with groups, and high interpersonal skills
Member personality- Very high on camaraderie and interpersonal skills ,will be a required trait or behaviour to get selected as a member
Team Diversity -- Based on the project need , a plan is required to be built in on the diversity aspects that need to be part of the project team .
Not all diverse aspects can be included in a single team , but a selction of diversity factors like demographics, experience , tenure , span of control can be take into consideration
Team Size -- depends on the magnitude and work of the project
