1. Michigan has an S shaped population growth curve
Detroit population growth is an inverted U shaped curve - population grows; the growth stagnates; the third stage is the decrease in population.
2.a) Till the 1940s,the growth rates were similar in Detroit, and, Michigan;
b) after the 1940s the growth rate decreased in Detroit. There were small fluctuations in the number of men, women & children living in Michigan between 1940, and, 1950. After this, the population decreased.
