(a) The two methods: Define the problems and Evaluate alternatives is closet to six-step process in our text book as any solution to problem start with identification of problem and finding its best alternatives /solutions. Identification of problem can only direct what solution could be made or what alternative solution can be implemented.
(b) Aft uses the phrase “scientific method” because it is a systematic process that involves measurable observation to formulate test and observation with a justifiable solutions. Just like any scientific method Aft problem solving process have a well defined step to step solution.
