Writing the Professor’s Job Description

Part I – Collecting Job Analysis Data – What Does a Professor Do?

Method – Observation: Through observing the professors at your college, you have a pretty good idea of the tasks that a professor completes. Document your observations.

Method – Interview: Develop and post two questions to ask your professor during the job analysis interview. A forum has been set up for this purpose  Job Analysis Interview

Interviews are a valuable way to collect job analysis data. Good thing you know a professor!

Post your interview questions here in accordance with the assignment. Replies should come from the instructor only; however, if you review a question and would like to ask a follow up, please feel free. Work on asking unique questions - if you ask a question that's already been posed, I will refer you to another point in the discussion for the response.  Use the information from chapter 4 as your guide.
