Reference the Cosmic Calendar on page 14 of your text and view the associated video clip found under the Module 2: Discovering the Universe for Yourself page and consider the following statement: In the last few tenths of a second before midnight of December 31 humans have developed an incredible civilization and learned a great deal about the universe. We are continuing to develop technology that is used to explore the vast cosmological expanse; however humans have also developed technology with which we could destroy ourselves. The dinosaurs survived about one week on the Cosmic Calendar: But, what about our species, all of humanity....will humans become extinct like countless other species on Earth? DISCUSSION-2) As we all know this that by the acknowledgement of the science and technology it is very easy for human being to sustain their life on earth and they had developed a power to control the earth upto certain limits. it can be taken as or considered as that the human species have the highest power from the rest of all the species which lived billions of years ago like dinosorus. but in the current time the human are developed so high which is going to kill the human species itself. the destroyer of the human species is not any cosmic accident but it will be the human who will destroy himself by his power of techology.
By acknowledgING the above statements and philosophy we cannot say it clearly that the extinction of man will be take place as similar as dinosorus or not but it can be said that humanity is going down and when the humanity get extinct, the human species will also get extinct at that time. so the final reply is YES human will extinct one day when human will try to control the whole universe with his techological and scientific powers.
