Many executives hold a traditional view of HR managers as personnel administrators rather than strategic business partners who should have a seat at the table and be involved in strategic business planning from its initial states through to implementation and monitoring progress. If you were the HR manager in such an organization, what actions would you take to ensure that you and your department were taken seriously as valued components of the organizational hierarchy, and how might you prove your worth to organizational leadership? Describe how you would identify key business strategies and link to them viable HRM strategies that will help the organization reach its goals more easily. Include examples in your response.

Human resource management is an inevitable part of an organization which has various roles to play in its existence.Gone are the days when this department is only considered for personnel management and he managers considered a personnel administrators.Globalised scenario invites the role of he managers to involve themselves in deciding key issues of the organization. A few of them to be specially mentioned are
1.The basic responsibility of human resource management department is to deal with human resource issues. Moving ahead of it the department has to incorporate ideas of how human resource can be channelised to attain the goal and objectives of an organization.
2.When the overall strategic planning is done by the top management, the HR should formulate strategies of connecting human resource with the planned strategies.
3.The department of Hr should understand the financial needs and terms of an organization and plan how they could maximise the use of available resources.
4.HR department is generally considered of people who are creative and think different. They can contribute ideas of different marketing plans that can be used by the marketing department.As another source it can organise creative competitions among employees to contribute such ideas.
5.Training programs for employees should be regularly organised. The importance of the business and its goals and objectives should be continuously communicated to the employees till the stand that they become voluntarily involved in all the activities.
6.HR management can involve themselves in risk management solutions and offering them ideas to overcome risk at minimal level.
HR department will voluntarily not be invited for all these activities or suggestions.They will only be considered as a hindrance at the initial stages .But when they prove themselves that they are worthy enough and valuable enough for the organization then they will be accepted and welcomed with the utmost pleasantness.
