Please respond to the question and be sure to postYou would want to use a MS Word Table when you seek to enter tabulated data that you would like formatted and aligned in a word document. Some people use tables in Word as worksheets, for organizing text and data into rows and columns. Word tables are great for displaying data in your documents, and you can also use them for quick and easy forms or to create complex page layouts with ease.

I agree with what you posted. MS Word Table is quite sophisticated these days and guess you can definitely use it for layouting, data organisation, spreadsheet calculation (although you might be better off with Excel in this case) and formatting. It is also great when you have loads of information that fall into specific categories, and it is much more readable to represent it as a table. Additionally, with the new Word the table is really easy to use, clearly modifiable, but complex engouhg at the same time allowing quick reference updates etc. I wouldnt go to overboard with this however. Tables hould be used for things which are meants for tables and nothing more! and Also sometimes Excel is much better as well :) hope that helps :)
