Explanation / Answer

The person should not use passive voice, where active voice can be used. Example- The man was bitten by a dog. (Passive). The dog bit the man. (Active) The active voice is much more powerful, short and easy to understand. Don’t use a jargon. Instead replace it with a simple word. You should always write what average reader understands not what only small population will understand. Don’t use a long word where short one will do. Using longer words makes you sound like an arrogant person. Also it’s difficult to understand them. Provide supporting details/ statistics for the main idea you are proposing. Substantiating the idea with examples/stats makes the idea stronger and impressive. Don’t try to be authoritative for whatever you are writing.
