Yes putting document properties with a file for back up purpose.
For emergency backup purpose in case disk crash.This information is important and can be viewed by others during collaborative approach.

Yes these days RFID tags are being used everywhere however in future this will be replaced with data storage in clothes instead of hardware or hard disk or pen drive....etc. To know more about this view this video at you tube by technical guru
The advantage of using RFID is to keep track of things and people. The disadvantage of using RFID is it is expensive to implement for small to medium organization.

Yes there is no guarantee of data in hardware devices as it can fail anytime or even stolen.
First and formost preference should be given to backup in cloud like Google Drive if you have account with google email.
Iam using as i have google account and i do backup important works, photos, ...etc in google drive so that we can access the data anytime and anywhere and there is no fear of loosing the data as it is in Cloud.
