Explanation / Answer

Conformity includes the adjustment of people in society according to the social norms, rules and regulations. It depends upon the type of situation in society. It is the change of behavior of a person according to the type of situation emerging in the society. These behavior results of conformity were confirmed by the experiments of Asch, Aarts and Dijksterhius. The experiments involved the conforming and orientation of people to submit answers and results of questions in a survey. People were found to dislike enmity and fight with tendency and flexibility to agree in various kinds of adverse situations in life with calculation of their readiness for conformity according to the prevalent situation in life. The lifestyle, culture, inhabitation, religion and living of a person should be readily accepted by society with rules and regulations. They should be able to resolve their issues with awareness of the outcome in society and its implications in the society. Conformity principles were studied by Milgram when he subjected patients to electric shocks according to their response to set of questions from teacher in a room. If the people made mistakes in answering questions , then they were subjected to more electric shocks of higher impulses. Herbert Kelman divided conformity into three parts of compliance, internalization and identification in society. The event related potentials were calculated in experiments.

Obedience means agreeing to the rules, regulations and obligations in the society. It does not change according to the situation in society. There is a straigh obedient behavior shown as a form of respect for seniors, elders and teachers in society. Obedience rates were calculated as the values of obedience decision/ obedience decision +disobedience decision. Various pictures of various scenarios and events were shown to people in various environments leading to the analysis of their obedience, conformity and behavior in such situations.Response time was calculated based on the time scale in which the decision was made. Electroencephalography analysis was done using silver electrodes. Event related waveforms were analyzed for conformity and obedience in life. Various waves were recorded in the anterior cingulate and other regions according to the waveforms of waves generated in these regions according to absolute and relative consistent views.

It depends upon a number of social factors like agreeing or disagreeing in various types of wrong situations, effect of criminal behavior, conflict and disobedience, wrong behavior and disputes in various kinds of situations leading to lack of conformity.
