The four schools of thought of labour problems are as follows:
The Mainstream Economics School: It shows free market competition in the market. The allocation of resources is done at an optimal cost. It shows the demand and supply depends upon the price and quality of the product.
The Human Resource Management School: It is also known as personnel management school. It shows the performance of the employee for the working of the firm. The HR plays important role in improving the increment of employees that requires competition to achieve benefits. This could be achieved if the employee works upon increasing the revenues of the firm.
The Industrial Relations School: It shows the relationship of the employees so that the work goes on at a smooth pace. It shows lack of coordination when the employee keeps changing the company and new employees take time to settle. This could be avoided if their salary is increased annually which is going to retain the employees in the company thereby, improving their efficiency at work.
The Critical Industrial Relations School: It shows that the company works upon the capitalism which could be achieved if the employees are utilised for the betterment of the company's output. It disadvantage is the clashes which may occur between the labours and management due to difference in income, work profile, ego clashes, etc. There must be balance in teh company and company must take care of all the employees and labours as well. If there is balance in the company then there would be team management and coordination among the employees and labours.
