Explanation / Answer

Params of normal distribution are given. We will use these and the Z table to solve the parts of the question. In case you have doubts on my explanation don't hesitate to drop in a comment. Thanks!

Mean = 198
Stdev = 28

a. Choose the normal plot which has

68% - 1stdev i.e. 198 +/-28 = 170 to 226
95% - 2stdev i.e. 198 +/- 2*28 = 142 to 254
99.7% - 3stdev i.e. 198 +/- 3*28 = 114 to 282

Hence, 1st graph is right

b.P(X>200) = ?
P(Z> 200-198/28) = P(Z> .07) = 1-.5279 = .4721

c.P(150<X<170) = ?
P(150-198/28 <Z< 170-198/28) = P(-1.71<Z< -1) = .1587-.0436 = .1151

d.IQR = Q3-Q1
= P(Z=.67) - P(Z = -.67) [ Z tables show that Z for 75% (Q3) and 25% (Q1) is Z =.67 and -.67 respectively]
= (198+.67*28) - (198-.67*28)
= 2*.67*28
= 37.52

e. P(X>=x) = .15. We look at Z table and see that .85 score has Z = 1.035
So, x = Z*sigma +Mean = 1.035*28 +198 = 226.98
