Please respond to the following person with a word count of at least 110.
Desiree Nuno When in high elevation, regardless of the temperature, one must stay hydrated and drink a lot of water. The higher one goes the greater effects on your body and the more important it is to drink water. Because humidity is lower at higher elevations your sweat evaporates quickly. While this is happening you may not realize how much water your body is losing through exertion. You are also losing watering through respiration because when in a high elevation, oxygen levels are lower which is making you breathe in and out faster. According to the Wilderness Medical Society, "you lose water through respiration at high altitude twice as quickly as you do at sea level." Dehydration is risky by itself, but this situation can worsen the symptoms of altitude sickness. Altitude sickness can potentially be a life threatening condition that impact people at altitudes higher than 8,000 feet. Both altitude sickness and dehydration can cause nausea, headaches, and fatigue. But though drinking a lot of water does not help alleviate or prevent altitude sickness. The only cure for altitude sickness is to go back to a lower altitude.Higher altitudes also means cool temperatures which means that your body will have to divert some of its oxygen to keep you warm. High elevation can also mean that the air at that altitude is relatively thin. According to Into thin air: Medical Problems at New Heights, "Thin air lets in more UV radiation resulting in a higher risk of snow blindness and sunburn."Explanation / Answer
Yes, as we move on higher altitudes the body gets dehydrated due to low humidity in the higher altitudes. When the humidity is low the sweat evoprates rapidly and thus causes dehydration. Many of us think that is higher altitude so that our body was showing some altitude sickness but it is not true. The symtoms of this dehydration is headache, skin becoming dry, rapid hartbeat and rapid breathing and etc.So every one are asked to carry a couple of water bottles or glucose or some fruit juices which helps our body not to dehydrate. And at higher altitudes the ultraviolet raditions effects more due to thin air.In that care our sking gets damages like sunburns and for a person with sensitive skin may causes skin cancer so to be safe from this people should carry body lotions and sunscreen lotions that helps in protecting our sking from this uv radiations.
