I'm not sure how to fill in the chart below on Cramster, but the basic question is "Do we replace this scanner?" The only way to answer this is to see if the savings of $26,850 per year for four years are greater than the loss of ($119,900 - $99,350 + $31,400) = $51, 950
The question is thus: is $51, 950 greater or less than ($26, 850 x 4) = $107,400
Our savings are thus greater than our losses and we should purchase the scanner because it saves us money. We should replace the old scanner.
