Question

if fx = 0 =T1 cos -T2 cos 40 how is it that it looks this way in the next step T1 cos = T2 cos40 instead of this way T2 cos 40 = T1 cos    since T2 cos 40 was negative inthe first step? Wouldnt it still be negative when left on the right side ofthe = sign? If not what happens to the negative sign? if fx = 0 =T1 cos -T2 cos 40 how is it that it looks this way in the next step T1 cos = T2 cos40 instead of this way T2 cos 40 = T1 cos    since T2 cos 40 was negative inthe first step? Explanation / Answer

0 =T1 cos -T2 cos 40 T2 cos 40= T1 cos Or   0 =T1 cos -T2 cos40      - 0 = -( T1 cos -T2 cos 40 )       Since -0 = 0 [zero = negative of zero]
       0 = -T1 cos +T2 cos 40 T1 cos = T2 cos 40 that is both are same
