1) the hydrological system or cycle-

water evaporation from ocean and water bodies, then wind takes it to other places, then condensation and raining or snow fall and again water came back to water bodies.

reverse osmosis is the procedure inspired by this.

2) global warming means rise in temperature of the earth. if temperature rises ice present on poles will melt and increase the sea level (water makes up 71% of earth surface). so if sea level increases, continents will be submerged into water.

3) earth surface is covered by 71% with water. it has been hypothesized that life first appears in water and then distributed to the entire earth. that's why scientist found similar species of Mesozoic era in different continents.

4) ring of fire is the area in the basin of the pacific ocean. also called circum pacific belt. maximum numbers of earthquacks(90-95%) and volcanic eruption activities occur there.

5) volcanic eruption gives us useful metals and when lava cool down it converts into a very productive kind of soil type.
