PLEASE ANSWER BOTH QUESTIONS. IF YOU CANT IGNORE THIS POST. THANK YOU.

1-You're outside on a cold day (Tout = 0 °C)listening to your iPod with an external circular speaker having a diameter 0.0570 m. Because of the cold you decide to go inside where the temperature is 26.9 °C. If your favorite song begins with a 7.63-kHz tone, find the change in the diffraction angle of this tone assuming the air behaves as an ideal gas.

2-Transverse waves traveling along a string have the following properties. Amplitude of the wave = 3.00 mm Wavelength of the wave = 0.136 m Speed of the wave = 338 m/s

a) Determine the time for a particle of the string to move through a total distance of 1.50 km.

b)If the string is held under a tension of 967 N, determine its linear density

Explanation / Answer

We can answer only second question if you can accept

2. Speed of the wave c = 338 m/s

(a)Distance to be travelled L = 1.50 km = 1500 m

Hence time taken t = L/c = 1500/338 = 4.44 seconds

(b) using c = T/m,

c2 = T/m

Hence linear mass density m = T/c2 = 967/338 × 338

m = 0.0085 kg/m
