(a) We have relation for lense

1/v + 1/u = 1/f

where v is distance of image , u distance of object and f is focal length.

sign convention taken : all distnace left side of the mirror is taken as negative whereas to the right side positive.

here f=2.7 m

u=- 5.4 m

1/v+ (-1/5.4) =1/2.7

1/v=1/2.7 +1/5.4
1/v=1/(0.56)

v=1.8 m on the other side of the mirror.
