v1 = 8 m/s
t = 5 s
a) acceleration of block, a = F/m
= 5/2.5
= 2 m/s^2
so, v2 = v1 + a*t
= 8 + 2*5
= 18 m/s (moves towards right)
b) acceleration of block, a = F/m
= -7/2.5
= -2.8 m/s^2
so, v2 = v1 + a*t
= 8 + (-2.8)*5
= -6 m/s (moves towards left)
