What kind of care did you receive during your visit? Did it meet the expectations you had for the experience? When can the quality of care a patient receives be more impactful than the actual medical care? Is it just the care from the doctors and nurses that matter or how can management play a role in in the quality of care delivered?

I recently visited a hospital for a health check-up. I was not very much happy about my experience at the hospital. I had to wait more than 20 minutes to get the appointment and the health check-up process was very slow. I had to promptly ask about the health check-up plans and nobody educated about the procedures.

The quality of care a patient receives will be more impactful when a patient receives mental as well as physical care. Strong mental motivational care should be included in patient care. Patient should be provided care that is respectful of and responsive to individual patient preferences, needs, and values, ensuring that patient values guide all clinical decisions

Doctors and nurses play a major role in providing quality care but the management also has important role in providing quality care. Management should ensure to provide care that does not vary in quality because of personal characteristics such as gender, ethnicity, geographic location, and socioeconomic status.
