The rivers such as Ganges, Indus, and Brahmaputra were the foundation for the civilization, they made the lands livable. Ganges and Indus flows through southeast valley making the land fertile. The Indus river flows through the drier lands changing the ways of farming. The flood plains of these rivers were fertile, the sand was mineral rich and the easy and plenty supply of water throughout a year flourished the civilization.
