Explanation / Answer
The promise which was made by Tara to pay $200 to Jennifer will not be enforceable. The main reason behind this is that the terms of the contract were not met between the two parties and thus the lack of a formal contract makes it not binding on both the parties.
Any contract can be enforced only when all the essential elements and requirements of the contract are met by all the parties to the contract. This is where the aspects of considerations of the contract should be enforced along with the intention of the parties to form a legal relationship so that the contract can be enforced lawfully. In the case, there is no intention of forming the legal relationship and thus it is not enforceable by law.
