. Outside, on very cold Blacksburg days, the nylon shell of my winter jacket gets brittle and sounds, when I move my arms, like I am wearing a plastic grocery store bag. (This is VERY irritating!) The Tg of the polymer of which the jacket is made should have been engineered to be than it is so that it remains more flexible (and quieter!) on very cold days.
