Explanation / Answer

A workbook is the MS Excel file in which you enter and store related data.

A worksheet (also known as a spreadsheet) is a collection of cells on a single “sheet” where you actually keep and manipulate the data.

Each workbook can contain many worksheets. (It’s a lot like a book. One book contains an entire story. Each page of the book contains part of the story.)

Often one workbook has a single theme, such as a personal budget. Each worksheet would then have a part of the theme, such as the budget broken down by month.

Rows run horizontally in an Excel worksheet.

Each row is identified by a number in the row header.

There are more than one million rows in each Excel worksheet.

The intersection point between a row and a column is called a cell.

A spreadsheet is a sheet of paper that shows accounting or other data in rows and columns; In a spreadsheet, spaces that hold items of data are called cells.

2: The last cell is at the intersection of the last row that contains data and the last column that contains data. The last cell may or may not contain data. Shortcut is --> "Ctrl+end"

End

End turns End mode on or off. In End mode, you can press an arrow key to move to the next nonblank cell in the same column or row as the active cell. End mode turns off automatically after pressing the arrow key. Make sure to press End again before pressing the next arrow key. End mode is shown in the status bar when it is on.

If the cells are blank, pressing End followed by an arrow key moves to the last cell in the row or column.

End also selects the last command on the menu when a menu or submenu is visible.

Ctrl+End moves to the last cell on a worksheet, to the lowest used row of the rightmost used column. If the cursor is in the formula bar, Ctrl+End moves the cursor to the end of the text.

Ctrl+Shift+End extends the selection of cells to the last used cell on the worksheet (lower-right corner). If the cursor is in the formula bar, Ctrl+Shift+End selects all text in the formula bar from the cursor position to the end—this does not affect the height of the formula bar.

Move to the next sheet in the workbook :CTRL+PAGE DOWN

Move to the previous sheet in the workbook :CTRL+PAGE UP

The 'Go To' window allows you to go to a named range or an address that you supply. It also has 'Special' button that will allow you to select cells based on several criteria - blank cells, cells that contain constants, cells with formulas, etc.

3: Reasons why documentation is necessary :

1) It keeps you on track. If you write down your strategy and your principles, personal emotional storms or distractions won’t throw your operation into backsliding or paralysis. You may slow down a bit when things get hard, but you will still be headed in the right direction.

Everyone in your organization will be pointed in the same direction. By outlining the what’s and how’s of your business, your group-effort will become focused and directed. By traveling in a straight line, your organization will reach goals sooner

You will find yourself working on the causes of problems, not in fixing problems that occur. This is subtle but profound positioning; something that CEOs of large, successful corporations know intuitively

Training time is reduced

Your workweek will be shortened. Documentation will guide other people in performing the routine chores that you do now.

You will have created an entity that will be easier to sell. Since everything is documented, the new owner can take over the business without having to go through the learning-by-osmosis process.

The costs associated with Inadequate Documentation like

More time and money will spent on rewriting programs and reconfigurin Systems because documentation is outdated .

More cost will involve because knowledge of system was in head of former employee

How often during the development of a system has a lack of documentation resulted in misunderstanding and redesign efforts.

4: if you select a cell that contains important data, type "Jabberwocky" and then press "Enter" then previous value in the cell is replaced by new value and after pressing enter control will move to next cell in same column.

If you first double click the cell then curser will place in the end of existing data and when you type it will not overrite existing data inspite of it will append new data and then after enter control will move to next cell in same column.

Cells are the basic storage unit for data in a spreadsheet program.

Row numbers are used as part of a cell reference such as A1, B23, or AA456.

Cell references identify the cell where data is located.

In a cell reference, the row number - such as 1, 23, or 456 - always comes after the column letter.
