Hi,

I just got mu Office 365, Home Premium. When I want to open on of the files in the cloud (OneDrive), after 1-2 minutes of grinding, I get the message:

"Cannot Connect to Server The server may be unavailable. Check your internet connection and try again"

My internet connection is Ok and the OneDrive apps is breezing in reaching the files I need to edit in Excel.

Any idea, or I should categorize it as a waste of time and money.

It is very frustrating when you buy a product (Office for iPad), and practically is useless.

Please help !!

Hi..

Same exact problem. Apparently OneDrive can delve through all the folders fine -- but the individual apps (Word, Excel, etc.) cannot. If you go in through one drive you then can open the file in the nested folder, but it will show as requiring further action to edit or save it - and if you try that you will get bounced to the cannot connect message (because you are trying to take such action from within the app)..

apparently there have been enough messages that I would think it is clear that Microsoft must realize the problem.

Only work around I have found is to get to the document first through onedrive. Then instead of clicking on the "edit and save" button, click on the little 0's in the right corner (after pressing on the page itself) and select to open the document in pages or numbers. Then from there convert it to Word and save it at a top level on onedrive (rather than back in its nested folder). This is a cumbersome work around, but the only way I can figure out how to actually edit and save a file until this bug is fixed.
