V = 50 mL,
C = 1000 ppm
define ppm
ppm = parts per million = mg of solute / liter of solutino
therefore
V = 50 mL = 501*0^-3 L
1000 ppm = x mg /(50*10^-3) L
x = (1000)(50*10^-3)
x = 50 mg of CaCl2*2H2O
then
add
50 mg of CaCl2*2H2O into v = 50 mL, this will be 1000 ppm
