Extrinsic Rewards – A reward that is tangible and physically given to the people for their performance. For example, certificate of accomplishment, trophy or medal for winning a game.
Intrinsic Rewards – is an intangible award of recognition, a sense of achievement or satisfaction. For example, the kind of satisfaction you get if you help someone.
In the video of RSA Animate the extrinsic awards were extra salary i.e. 1 week or 1 month or 2 months salary as an incentive for the performance at three levels respectively.
