Explanation / Answer
re are reasons to consider giving compensation for organ donation. The shortage of organs has become an important concern in the US and the longer candidates wait on dialysis; the situation is worsened. There are so many potential donors who do not come forward according to the report by ncbi because of risk of having no life insurance, concerns related to long term healthcare or having no health insurance, lost wages during surgery or recovery and cost of travel to transplant center. More donors will be willing to come when these problems are removed.
There is no protection for the donor or follow up. There needs to be a development of a regulated system of incentives to decreases waiting list and cut down on unregulated markets.
