Complete the following assignment: Using a website with which you are familiar, develop a scenario that tells the story of how one user segment would behave on a visit to the site. For example, if you chose Barnes and Noble's website, you might create a scenario that describes how parents of young children might behave, and what choices they might make, when they use the site. When you are satisfied that your scenario represents behavior of one segment adequately, identify the metrics that would be useful to determine whether or not that segment’s needs are being met and if the customer experience for the segment is satisfactory. Consider the website Amazon.com, and let us review the behaviour of the particular user group that includes the parents of the young people. They may visit the site and would add different views and experiences after accessing the website. They may try to look for options related to their personal needs that may include gadgets, health related products, food processing products, or may be medicines or daily use things.

Being a customer they would look for easy navigation to the website, since the website offers clear categories and types of goods/products mentioned, the parents can directly navigate to the categories and choose whichever category they would want to make a purchase for, it can be anything based on their needs. Thereafter choosing the particular category, they can also get into details of each product with dimensions to usage and also from quality to product labels with claims. In case, they would like to know, how the product is, they can also refer to the reviews being posted by other users. They can also refer to other competitive products available in the market that one can use and compare based on their product specifications. One good thing, they would like to undergo is to explore the product with their pictures from side-to-side and top to bottom. This will give them the comfort of choosing the products which they wanted and what they are getting. Navigating from one to another product is easy, they can also choose to click on the top change bar and can choose to jump on any of the product whichever they want to see. The search function on the top also gives them the liberty to not waste time in searching the categories they are looking for from the top. But instead, just type in the search bar and reach out to the product they were looking for in just one go, apart from that they will also see other findings based on the search criteria they would enter in to the search column. The graphics and the colour combination of the website also represents the soothing complexion to the eyes and would really help them in searching their requisites, without creating a strain on the eyes.

This has always been a sense of ease and comfort where if they need something, they can simply check this and unhesistantly can access this website to have their need fulfilled. Considering the competition involved with other websites, they don’t feel as comfortable with others and sense and face a lot of issues that could keep them well away from accessing those website and stick back to Amazon.com. In short, it fulfils the user requirement and stick to the culture of staying along with the portal and respecting the rights of each user group permanently.
