1. Knowledge work is considered to developing and using knowledge. Today, every firm running its operations and networks digitally is referred to as digital firm. These firms use all kinds of enterprise software and technological platforms to rum all its functions and operations. These software include Customer Relationship management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Supply Chain Management (SCM) and many more. In every firm, knowledge work is a set of processes including creating, gathering, storing, maintaining, disseminating and applying knowledge. In a digital firm, there are mainly three types of knowledge management system managed by these knowledge workers:

1. Knowledge Work System (KWS): There are specialized departments and systems which aid the knowledge workers to create and integrate new knowledge. These workers include scientists, engineers, etc.

2. Enterprise Knowledge Management System (EKMS): System gather, collect, store, disseminate and use digital content and relevant knowledge.

3. Intelligent Techniques (IT): Here, data systems and artificial intelligent technologies are used to discover, codify, store and extend knowledge.

A knowledge worker is always developing new creations. They create as well as add value to the work assigned. It is the responsibility of every knowledge worker to continue doing innovative techniques, developing new approaches and products & services. Knowledge workers manage their work on their own. They are self responsible for the task assigned to them. They should be skillful and must have a creative eye.

They help in improving organizational growth. They add more analytics and competencies and bring in more expertise in their work, which brings success to firms internally as well as externally. Knowledge workers use technology, digital networks, access to new knowledge to enhance productivity. They are key strategic resource in today's digital firms.

2. E-commerce is the most rapidly evolving area in online trading. Every organization, big or small has its own websites and are engaged in e-commerce business in and outside their home country. E-commerce improve and accelerate existing operations.

Before designing new information system, the steps that need to be considered:

2. There should be training sessions for users to cope up with this new system.

3. Send e-mails, posters in communal areas, advertise the new system before usage.

4. Run a test of the system with the help of a small team or department to see are there any flaws while operation.
