Question

Thinking back on the last few months, consider a time when you encountered a friend or business associate who promised or agreed to do something but did not follow through. For example, did someone agree to sell you something but at the last minute changed the price? Or did someone agree to perform a service, but then later said he or she was too busy?

Relate the facts of your example. Then, based on the materials in the reading and lecture, explain why the facts you presented did or did not meet the legal requirements for a contract. Be sure to support your response.

Explanation / Answer

While conducting business operations both the parties enters into a contract which is called the agreement which is mutually beneficial. Mr. X has encountered with a situation where his friend disagreed to sell a particular product to him at the price he promised before. This can be considered as the misconduct in the business activities but doesn’t meet the legal requirement of the business contract.

For Mr. X to file case against his friend the agreement should be filed as a document and it should be followed through properly. The sale agreement should be written and documented appropriately. The discussion between friends or words from mount are not considered as the legal requirements.
