Please respond to the post below on whether you agree with their view or not and why you feel this way. Must be at least two paragraphs.
Convincing those who do not believe that change is in their best interests is extremely difficult. It is because of this charismatic leaders are of immense value to an organization. They have this infectious quality that inspires passion in all that believe in the direction of the organization. Maybe more importantly for those that are initially hesitant, with the right kind of communication, they are able to rally the support of these individuals as well.
It is my opinion that in addition to possession of charismatic qualities leaders are most effective when they have an open and honest communication with employees. Sure it takes more time and effort on the behalf of leadership however it produces a higher return than otherwise achieved. Many successful transformational leaders have stated that as an executive you cannot over-communicate. When you share the alternatives to not changing with employees in a transparent and realistic manner they are more likely to support those change initiatives. An explanation of what competitor X is currently doing and what this means for our future lines of business unless we act is much more compelling than just saying we need to change without providing context. Creating a dialog and ongoing discussion along with sharing general trends, current and future market demands, and anecdotal stories about other companies and their change efforts, or lack thereof, is much more likely to produce the desired results. The word dialog in the proceeding sentence implies that this should be a two-way conversation and it should be something that continues in perpetuity.

According to Charismatic leadership theory, a charismatic leader inspires the followers by his personality traits and talents by creating an extraordinary impact on the followers. They inspire followers with their behavior and attitude.
The above mentioned view regarding the role of charismatic leader in influencing change in an organization is appropriate. While implementing change in an organization, employees show huge resistance to it due to fear of unknown and adopting new practices. In such situation, the charismatic leader would help to influence the people to accept the organizational changes. He can explain the benefits of the change in improving the productivity and performance of the employees as well as the company. Two-way open communication would help the leader to communicative the benefits of employing change in the organization and influencing the employees.
